Exhibition Dialogues at Idrija’s Gewerkenegg Castle

Idrija,17-th June 2021

In the small gallery of the Idrija Municipal Museum at Gewerkenegg Castle, my survey exhibition Dialogues is on view from 17 June to 31 August 2021. It highlights recent creative collaborations: my original Idrija lace intertwines with other materials and techniques such as silver filigree, fused glass, and wool knitwear; as graphics, the lace appears in various print contexts (a book illustration, a postage stamp motif, and part of the visual identity of a product line).

Also on display are several older lace works held by the museum and two current pieces — lace necklaces that can transform into protective masks. A special highlight is the “smart lace necklace” with LED lighting, controlled by an embedded microcontroller on a purpose-built printed circuit. The exhibition remains on view through the end of summer — you are warmly invited to visit Idrija.
