I am pleased to announce a new Idrija lace Pattern Design course starting in April 2026. The course is suitable both for bobbin lace makers who want to better understand patterns, as well as for designers who want to develop their own contemporary ideas in the field of bobbin lace.

Spodnja Idrija, 14–24 Aug 2024
On 14 Aug 2024 a large lace installation inspired by Lower Idrija’s “Pr’farska” legends was unveiled: the singing fish, the Turks swept away by the Idrijca, the church vow and a wily townsman. The Idrijca River links the scenes; crafted in 500+ hours.

Invited by Idrija Tourism to design the 41st Idrija Lace Festival visual, I expressed the theme “(R)evolution” and silk–lace interplay via a silkworm’s metamorphosis — from cocoon, sketch and pattern to finished lace, later shown on a National Geographic cover.
